Cornish in a Turtleneck was essentially Timmy Tumble's teenage 4-track recording project with his high school friends Eric Oakes and Juan Garcia. Although Budapest Zoo was not the band's first cassette release, it marks the first earnest effort to make a solid collection of pop tunes and zaniness with greater recording precision and focus.
